Co-Founder

Shahrzad Laali is an artist based in Vancouver, or more accurately, on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. With a background in architecture and over 15 years of experience as an artist, Shahrzad’s passion for art and education led her to continue her study at Emily Carr university of Art and Design.

Shahrzad teaches painting, drawing, tapestry, and weaving to children and adults, crafting each session to align with their emotional and developmental needs. She believes in the vital role of creativity in children’s growth, from boosting self-confidence and self-esteem to nurturing imagination and broadening their perspectives.

Her private and semi-private art classes, conducted in the comfort of your home, are designed to meet each child at their skill level. Shahrzad also weaves art history into her lessons, presenting it in engaging, age-appropriate ways to make the subject enjoyable and relatable for young learners.

As an advocate for a healthy lifestyle and a passionate educator, Shahrzad offers classes in English, Persian, and Turkish, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for children from diverse backgrounds. Her teaching approach fosters creativity, emotional growth, and a love for art in every child she works with.

Co-Founder

Hana is an Early Childhood Educator and Educational Assistant with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. She also has 10 years of experience working in finance. However, driven by her passion and dedication to teaching and working with children, she decided to change her career path. In the middle of pursuing her MBA, she shifted her focus to Early Childhood Education (ECE), earning her full license and degree.

 

Hana has worked with children of various age groups for several years, gaining valuable experience. She later began working within the school district, supporting students of different ages, including those with special needs and others requiring assistance in their lessons across various grades.

 

Being bilingual in Farsi and English, Hana has been a vital resource for children who face challenges in understanding lessons or building connections with peers and teachers. She also provides essential support to families with limited English proficiency, helping them navigate paperwork and other school-related matters.

 

Hana is dedicated to supporting parents who are busy with work and other commitments by ensuring their children have access to healthy, homemade meals and snacks. She also focuses on helping children succeed academically by providing support with their lessons and improving their school performance.

 

In addition, Hana offers guidance to parents of children with special needs, connecting them with resources and tools to navigate their unique journeys. Her goal is to empower families, making life easier for both the children and their parents by fostering growth, well-being, and confidence.
